LEI is part of Wageningen UR (University & Research centre), forming the Social Sciences Group with the department of Social Sciences and Wageningen UR Centre for Development Innovation.

LEI-Wageningen UR participates in Food4Me work on business and value creation models. The principle investigator is Dr. Amber Ronteltap, who holds an MSc in human nutrition and a PhD in social sciences. She has studied public acceptance of nutrigenomics-based personalised nutrition by collecting data from both experts and consumers. She has published extensively in international peer-reviewed journals, mainly on expert and consumer views on new food technologies and nutrigenomics.
